Uber India - Fare policy
Today i took Uber from 6 sai college marg, Burmese colony, jaipur to jai club, jaipur. Uber app indicated that the fare will be around 78.49, with longer route. I took smaller route still they charged me the rate with longer route. Uber go charges in jaipur is rs 22 base fare, 6rs per km and rs 1 per km. So according to my travelling data, my fare should be Base fare: rs 22 Distance: 5.4 KMS- rs 32.4 Time: 15 minutes- rs 15 Total- rs 69.4 But still they charged me rs 78. When i mailed Uber about this, there answer is "you will be charged amount shown before the trip, no matter what". That means when you will book a Uber they will show fare with longer route and if you take a shorter route, you have to pay for longer route.
